First night swim

I went a little out of order and forgot to post our first night on the boat. Since it was just us and Charlie's family we all went out in our boat.
            Olivia was saying, "go!"
                  My handsome boy.
Olivia was being a little grumpy at first, so daddy let her drive the boat. The water was so calm this night. We swam a little then Ryan, and I wake boarded.
The cutest St. John cousins minus Olivia.

Night of arrival

The boys were just so sweet when they first walked in. "They both said, this.is.awesome!!!" They were so excited. After checking everything out they played some cars and dirt bikes.
These two are so much alike. I hope they can grow up to be best cousin/friends like their daddy's are. Once Lauren and I got everything unpacked and put up we made the kids dinner.
They had fish sticks, Mac n cheese, and fruit. Olivia was being stubborn and didn't want to take a picture. My little drama queen. After dinner we got the kids in their pjs and let them watch some Disney jr. as they winded down.
Once they were in bed we cooked our meal and waited around until the rest of our group showed up.
This was the best picture I got of Ryan and Charlie. They never act serious.
We made hot n spicy brats, hot links, potato salad, chips. I had never had the hot n spicy brats before. They were ahhhhmazing!!!
My mouth is watering posting these pictures! After we ate Lauren and I sat in the hot tub for awhile. I didn't take any pics I didn't want to chance my camera getting ruined.

The cabin

We've been to these cabins a couple other times with Ryan's family. We all love coming here.
                 Our cabin was c4
The cabin has a stocked kitchen so we just bring our food and cook there. Most of it I did cook at home and froze it. Just to make it a little easier.
I have a big sweet tooth and was on vacation so calories definitely were not be counted.
Here's a look at what our room we stayed in looked like.
We had a king size bed, but I was still not going to share it with my kids. I worried about how Olivia would sleep. She's never been awesome at sleeping in her pack n play. This time I think she was just so worn out she slept great. Even great naps!
Our view from the back porch. You could walk down to the lake, but we never did. We enjoyed our trip so much we're already planning our next one for next month.

The start to a great weekend

Thursday we headed out to a tiny town in Arkansas.
We had a little bit of a rough start. First our cousins Charlie, and Lauren had a blow out on their boat trailer before they even made it to Plano. About 40 minutes after we left we got a blow out.
My husband who has every tool there is to have didn't bring any with him. Really?? There just happened to be a lowes across the highway. So, he unhooked the boat and the kids and I stayed there while he went to lowes.
Carson throwing rocks while we waited on daddy.
In about 10 minutes we were fixed and back on our way. By this time Charlie, and Lauren had caught up to us. Good thing because about a half mile down the road it happened again.
We couldn't believe it! Once we got this fixed we were good to go and made it into one of my top five favorite states!

Monday, Monday, Monday

Baby girl watching Cinderella while mommy unpacked and did what felt like 7,654 loads of laundry. I love going on vacation but hate the unpacking part. Since I didn't make it to the store today we went out for dinner.
I told Ryan I wanted something completely unhealthy for dinner tonight, so we ended up at red lobster. Nothing better than those biscuits and salad. Yum. I won't say how many biscuits I ate.  Olivia was in the best mood. She loved pulling on daddy's beard and earrings. She was even feeding her little baby doll biscuits. Although, we had a fun Monday we sure did miss our baby boy. He went on a delivery with lolly and pops and won't be back until tomorrow.

A special visit

This weekend we had some friends come visit us from New Mexico. They have an almost five month old little boy named Jackson. Olivia just didn't know what to do with a real life doll.

She didn't want to leave his side. It was so sweet. I think being around the baby encouraged her to bring some of her babies out to play.
Having them here this weekend gave me an idea of what life would be like with three kids. As much as we love babies we are happy with our healthy two.
And here's one more picture for fun. It was just too cute not to post.

Father's Day 2013

Happy Father's Day to all the special men in my life.

We had a low key Father's Day I don't think Ryan would have wanted it any other way. We went to lunch with his parents and this sweet guy.

Pearson also turned two today. We love him so much. After lunch we came home and gave Ryan part of his presents.

Then he worked a little on the boat getting it ready for our trip.

I'm not sure how he got in this position but it did not look comfortable one bit. We had pork chops, German potato salad, green beans, and pineapple for dinner. Then Ryan played with the kids a little bit before it was time for bed.
