Ropin' reader & a little under weather

Friday Carson got two awards at school. He got ropin' reader & the Wylie way. We are so proud of him. He is doing great, and absolutely loves going. 

He wasn't feeling all that well today, but I had him go since he was getting an award. I thought he was just tired from halloween and had a little allergy flare up.

Lolly& pops got to come. 

After his ceremony I ended up taking him home with me. I got him a dr appt once they opened. To my surprise he tested positive for strep. He's never had it before, and since his tonsils were taken out I was pretty sure he wouldn't have it. I'm so glad I took him in.

We got him some meds and lots of rest. He's now feeling back to normal.

1st lunch visit

Wednesday we had lunch with Carson at school. He loves buying his lunch and eating in the cafeteria. 

This is his class walking into the cafeteria.  At first when I told him I was coming to eat with him he asked me why. I guess he was already embarrassed of me. Ha. Once he saw me and Olivia he was excited.

Olivia loved sitting next to all the big kids. 

He got cheese pizza and I got what they call a Stromboli. I didn't really like it, so I gave it to Carson. He ended up eating the whole thing and only half of his cheese pizza.

I'm not going to be that mom that eats with him all the time, but every once in awhile is fun. My mom was a working mom, so it's extra special to me that I get to stay home and be more involved with his school. Next time I might go on a Tuesday when Olivia's at mdo. She kept going on the stage to sing and dance.

Friday

We survived the first week of school. I had to be one of those moms that took a picture everyday before we left. I'm kind of thinking about doing it everyday then making a book. 

1st day

2nd day. I love new school clothes. He looks so handsome.

3rd day. He wanted me to walk him in this week. 

4th day. Every Thursday is wear a college shirt day. He only had this longhorns one. We need to go shopping for more.

And, we made it to Friday. Yay! Fridays are spirit shirt days. Each grade wears a different color. I'm glad he was orange because these shorts went perfectly with it. Now, we're going to be lazy, sleep in, and enjoy some lake time. Excited for the long weekend. Getting up at 6 is killer for me. I'm a night owl, not a early riser.
