Our first Christmas was with my dads side of the family.

Olivia wanted to be anywhere baby Cam was.

My dad and step mom made some sour cream chicken enchiladas, rice, and beans. I brought some Pico, hot sauce, and guacamole. It was all so yummy.

After we ate we opened up our gifts.

Two handsome little boys, Carson, and Keegan. They are just 3 months apart.

Keegan doesn't usually like giving me hugs or kisses, but this year he was afraid of being put on the naughty list. He would give anyone hugs, and kisses to make sure he stayed on the nice list.

Carson's class Christmas party

The Friday before Christmas Carson had his class party

The kids got to wear their pajamas to school, bring a teddy bear, (which I forgot about until yesterday) Mom of the year here, and bring a wrapped book for their book exchange.

The kids had fun doing their exchange. The room mom read a story, when she said left in the story they had to pass their book to the left, and when she right they had to pass their book to the right. It was cute to watch. By the end of the story they were catching on to their right and left.

. A few kids had a melt down when they opened the book, and it wasn't one they really wanted. Some kids were kind enough to trade with their friends. So sweet to see kids care about their classmates.

After the book exchange they played musical chairs.

Carson did pretty well. I think he was the fifth to last.

After musical chairs it was finally time to eat lunch. The kids got to have a little picnic in their room.

I got her a Vera Bradley lanyard, made peanut butter treats, and printed off this subway art for her classroom.

Mrs. Scherer we are so glad to have you as a teacher. We thank you so much for having the patience to teach and love our little Carson.

50 & Fabulous

My mom just recently turned 50. We celebrated by going to dinner at Pappasitos, then her friends threw her a birthday party that following Friday.

My sister, brother, and I got her a locket.

At Pappasitos you have to wear this big sombrero while they sing you Happy Birthday. I've had to do this a time or two.

Santa! I know him!

`We went and saw Santa few weeks ago. Olivia has never been one to enjoy sitting on Santa's lap.

She didn't cry, but she fussed, and didn't want to sit on his lap. Carson never made a stink about sitting on Santa's lap. He has always sat there and told him what he wanted. This year he asked for a big tractor he could drive on the road.

I grew up going to see this same Santa, so naturally my kids have to go to him, too. In my opinion he is the best. He doesn't start photos until 11,but does a story time before. We have only gone to his story time once. I personally didn't care for it, and Carson didn't stay focused.

The North Park Santa has an interesting procedure. You have to get a ticket, and they give you an approximate time for when you need to come back to get in line. This year was a little off. I got there about 915 like I normally do to pick up my ticket then I come back about lunch time for our picture. When I came back people that had just gotten a ticket were already being put in line behind me. I'm not sure what the point of going to get a ticket early was if they were just sticking people right in line. It does go smoothly once you get in line. It's only about a 15 minute wait.

After we get their picture taken the kids like to go play in the Disney store. Olivia was amazed by the princess castle in the store. She had so much fun playing.

I'm missing year 2008, 2010. I hope they are on one of my other computers.

My brother the All Star

A couple of weeks ago we went to watch my little brother play basketball. He is in 8th grade at my old Jr. High. It is fun to go back to where I went to school, and see what all has changed.

Parkers #0

This is Parkers first year to play basketball we were happy he made it, even if it is on the C team.

He did a lot of blocking, and shot at the goal a couple of times.

We can't wait to go to another game and see how he improves. Thanks for inviting us to your game, brother.

Snow Tubing

Every year Ryan goes on an annual trip to Oklahoma with his friends. Last year I decided when Ryan goes on his trip Carson and I would go to the Gaylord and see ICE! and go snow tubing. When Olivia is old enough I will start taking her with us. This year ICE was the Nutcracker, I wasn't sure how much Carson would be interested in seeing that, so we skipped it. It's too expensive for him to not be interested.
